What about your LOCAL media? Use it!

While we are all holding the national media's feet to the fire, what about local newspapers and radio? If the percentage of people who believe (STILL) that there is a link between Saddam and 911 is so high, then we need to get busy and do some countering where those who are ignorant live. In lots of places, there's a local newspaper that gets read by all the townies (including sale/want ad newspapers). If they don't have letters to the editor, consider taking out a low-cost classified ad or even a display ad. It's not like everyone only watches cable news.

But LTTE are certainly worth the effort if there isn't a strong contingent of them now. It will get people talking about issues and taking stands that the sheeple will eventually come to understand.

I live in a very rural and slightly conservative county with five weekly newspapers. Only two will print any "political" news at all. The rest of the papers intentionally avoid it (unless your the young republicans, then you can have all the space you want.) So the Opinion page is our only place to get messages in front of people.

Also, a politican in the western part of my state is organizing a "Writers Guild" which is essentially a network for researching issues for LTTE's. They will do the research, pass the info on to letter writers as well as write a few themselves. These are all to get published in rural and city papers across the western part of the state.
