I Picked Up The Paper This Morning And Recognized A Guy Killed In Iraq
The Coast Guard officer who was killed protecting the oil terminal.

Wow.

I never thought I'd actually end up knowing someone who died in this war. I didn't even know he was in the coast guard.

You see the numbers and you hear and read the stories about those killed and wounded. But it never seems like real life until you know someone personally.

He was 24. A year younger than me.

5. The Bush admin doesnt care who they send
all they want is warm bodies..they dont care
they would send the boy scouts if they could get away with it.

9. That's a heck of a way to fight terrorism....

I would have thought OUR coast guard would be protecting OUR coast, also. He may have believed that, as well. It's very sad.

6. my local paper (LA Times) had four guys yesterday in obituaries
killed in Iraq. I just happened to be thumbing through it while on a job and there they were. Four!
