1. the problem with that...
I do not think everyone who voted for Nader would vote for Kerry.

7. Bush will lose 5-10% of his voters after the debates
Unless Rove manages to drug Kerry before going on stage.

8. Pray that Floridian Naderites won't repeat history
It's unthinkable that they would, but the unthinkable happens daily in this accursed new millennium.

9. Kerry needs to be careful about the debates
we all thought gore would kill bush in the debates, but it didn't happen. If kerry leans from gore's mistakes, then he will win in a landslide

11. Gore did kill Bush in the debates.
Problem is that it wasn't reported that way, and it was the reporting that solidified opinions in the long run.

12. High Expectations
We need to keep Bush's expectations high. Last time with Gore everyone expected Bush to give up or start crying ... he didn't so purely from his expectations he won. Or so said the media whores.

We need to start getting the message out that Kerry has never been in a presidential debate one on one before. That Bush has all the experience in that format and so he should be favored. Then, when Kerry stomps him it will be all the more favorable appearing.

14. Maybe Edwards could give Kerry lessons
in how to stick it to an opponent while smiling away in a manner such that the opponent doesn't know he's been stuck. Kerry's likely to come on strong like the skilled prosecutor he was. I'm afraid that if he does that to Junior, people will be sorry for Junior, and it will give Junior the opportunity to play the likable half-wit regular guy. That is if he still can. After that news conference I have my doubts. Maybe Junior will demand that Dick stand by him on the debate podium.

10. Not bad-interesting factoid
By this point in the campaign, the incumbent has all the support he is likely to get, while the challenger can still, according to history, still add numbers. The SCLM has been bending over backwards to hurt Kerry and prop up * this past week. Kerry better get on the ball and stay there, because I still see it as his to lose. Courage, folks, eyes on the prize.
