Edited on Thu Apr-22-04 12:53 PM by Ivote
Washington DC, November 3 2000 .The fire and smoke from the downed passenger aircraft billows from the pentagon courtyard. Defense protective services, police, seal the crash site. Army medics, nurses and doctors scramble to organize aide. An Arlington fire dept chief dispatched his equipment to affected areas.

This was posted yesterday, but the link was so busy, not too many people were able to get the information.

1. That's Spooky
I was there in Oct/Nov 2000 (but never heard about this drill), and was nearby on 9/11---close enough that my office's windows shook when the plane exploded. I also knew about a half-dozen people who didn't survive. We should all hope it never happens again.

2. This brief description is quite telling
A plane crash is simulated inside the cardboard courtyard of a surprisingly realistic-looking model Pentagon. This "tabletop" exercise was designed to help emergency relief personnel better prepare for disasters when they occur.
Notice the use of when and not if
