has alluded to. That is the rule not the exception.' (paraphrase from Larriy King Live, CNN show, (pre-war Iraq.)) I personally saw Woodward say this.

Wednesday, I saw Woodward, on Lehrer, say Bush is 'really a tough President'.

Question: If so Woodward, why can't the pres speak for himself at the 911 hearings? Why is the pres unable to answer questions at a news conference? Why aren't there any real news conferences? What does 'tough' and killing Iraqis have to do with 'tough'?

Question: Can you tell me how many people Marcos killed and how much money he stole during his US Presidency of the Philippines?

Question: Woodward, did you really serve in the same unit as Lee Harvy Oswald?

Question: Woodward, are you currently working as a spy/mole in the media industry?

Woodward will be on O'Franken thursday.

1. Tough? No. Bully? Yes.
He never has a doubt. He never admits to making a mistake or even the possibility of a mistake. How can anyone be so absolute in their decision making without being insane?

2. The war president
Bush refers to himself as the war president.

Will we ever have a president who wants to be the peace president.

Look at all the deaths this war president has caused.

4. I'll never forget seeing aWol say 'I'm a war president'. His eyes looked
sicker than an insane psychotic you see in movies. His whole face and body language were alive with the thoughts of death and suffering.

3. What the hell is up with Woodward?
Did the soul patrol catch up with him and make him an offer he couldn't refuse?

Something very strange here.

5. Woodward has blown his cover! Junior is an idiot and everyone knows this.
If Woodward wants to report on Lott, Delay, Hastert, Kissinger... starting a war with these same conditions and then say, 'it's a tough decision, he thought and calculated in his mind about the outcome, the negatives...' I think you could get a few people who believed Wooward. But trying to make Junior, the total lying, cheating on exams his entire life to get a D+, 25 years of drug and alcohol abuse, man who can't even speak straight let alone think straight, a man who does nothing but reads scripts which are supposed to be speeches, a man who most likely has a transmitter ear piece with a team of 'experts' telling him how to answer the few questions he does try to respond too... Come on Woodward you Whore!

6. Question: 'When Bush received all the memos/briefings that Al Qeda
was going to attack the US, why didn't 'TOUGH' Junior order immediate action and planning?'

7. THE ROAD TO SEPTEMBER 11 - 'Did Bush 2 express regret his father,
Bush 1, was in fact the man most responsible for creating the elements who executed 911? Could it be a psychotic derangement in Bush 2's brains making him feel guilt for what his father, Bush 1, actually created which caused Bush to have a mental psychotic breakdown and unable to make rational decisions?

Half a world away, people who understood the ferocity of Islamic extremism could see the coming storm. In the late '80s, Pakistan's then head of state, Benazir Bhutto, told the first President George Bush, "You are creating a Frankenstein." But the warnings never quite filtered down to the cops and G-men on the streets of New York.

8. Odd exchange with Woodward & Rumsfeld
Rumsfeld: Okay, a couple of things before we start. I am not great with dates or times and I don't have a lot of notes that can be helpful. The last time we met you asserted things, saying, “You did this or you said that,” as though you knew what I did, and you were wrong a lot.

Q: I apologize for that. It was based on NSC notes and what other people said.

Rumsfeld: Other people, exactly. And your assumption is, if somebody says that to you, that it is correct. Therefore you assert it to me. That causes me a lot of problems, because then I have to stop and say, “No, that's not right.” Almost everything you asked me was premised with an assertion that was either incomplete or wrong, and it changed the whole nature of it. You'd be better off with me if you asked those questions about the premises in the question you want to ask.

Q: My overall goal in this, because I have good relationship with President Bush and he wants me to do this, I think, as you know.

Rumsfeld: A couple of other things, I tend to ask a lot of questions of the people I work with and I tend to give very few orders. This place is so big and so complicated and there's so much that I don't know, that I probe and probe and probe and push and ask, “Well, why wasn't this done?” or “Shouldn't this be done?” but it's generally with a question mark at the end.

Q: I've found that in my research.

Rumsfeld: I've read a lot of stuff about me that doesn't sound that way and I think you ought to have that fact in your head.

The highlighted bit kinda points to where Woodward was coming from in the prep for the book (this interview was September 2003). I'd like to hear Franken ask him if he was writing for Bush. The exchange tho is IMHO weird -- I know that Rummy acts like he's on acid half the time, but he's flagging up a disconnect between what his staff are saying about him & his own memory.

If Woodward whores for any one group in particular, I'd say it was the group that sit above Al Haig & Colin Powell (who he's whored for the most -- (Watergate/"Commanders" & "Bust At War").

Also -- I'm not too sure what you mean by the LHO bit -- the link merely says that Woodward had the same security clearance as Oswald & Oswald was long dead by the time Woodward joined the Navy. (If you want a funky guy who served with LHO with possible Watergate connections -- check out Kerry Thornley!)
