Cambodia is to 1970 as Syria is to 2005.
So now the latest propaganda from the VRWC is that Syria is not only allowing foreign jihadists to pass through Syria into Iraq (the Arabian Ho Chi Minh Trail?) but is also arming them. This is too explosive for Dumbya to confront during an election year, but the verbal trial balloon is being floated for a 2005 invasion into Syria.

Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it. Doesn't anyone in this government remember what happened last time we allowed a quagmire to extend beyond the borders of one country (Vietnam) and into another (Cambodia)? I fear that the same result of genocide will occur.

1. This sounds vaguely familiar
Asked how conclusive U.S. intelligence is on Syrian aid, one official told the Times, "No doubt about it."

Now where have we heard that before?

2. They ARE CONFIDENT liars, aren't they?
Hey, maybe THAT'S why they call them Confidence Men.

"Con" men.

3. Their lies will catch up to them..

The American public is going to say, "Prove it."

If we don't, well than we are doomed.

5. Who's arming the guerillas?
My bet is that the Russian army has a hand in it. As a bit of payback for Afghanistan.

Oh, I'm sure it's not something that's organized from the top down. But I bet Putin winks at a few "missing" cases of rocket propelled grenades and Sams every other week or so...

6. When that happened during the Vietnam war...
...President Richard Nixon at the advice of then Secretary of State Henry Kissinger ordered bombing raids over Cambodia. Perhaps George W Bush has plans along those lines as well. We know this. If Bush is elected on November 2, 2004 the war in Iraq will be expanded immediately. The White is now asking for $70billion more to fight the Iraq war, but they say they are not going to need it until November.:hurts:

7. That's exactly how I see it happening this time.
Once the election is secure, bombing raids will commence on "insurgent supply camps" in Syria. Bush will be careful to point out that this is NOT a declaration of war against Syria, simply an escalation of the current war in Iraq against insurgents and their sympathizers. Then watch the destabilization unfold.
