Peace WAS at hand - most definitely after 8 years of Clinton - the United States was not warring with anyone.

If Bush* hadn't been selected and hadn't done 9/11 - we would no doubt still be at peace (except for Israel & Palestine) - but then with a good honest President - some stability might have been brought to that part of the world.

The Government did create AIDS - and who was the head of the CIA - yep, Bush Sr.

I think those boys and girls over in Iraq are definitely feeling de ja vue Vietnam - can't really qualify that statement from our comfy chairs.
