Is there any flack about the Doonesbury BD Iraq storyline?
If you are not a reader, Doonesbury has had an ongoing story about BD in Iraq getting hit by a mortar and losing a leg. I saw some posts here about uproar - but I cant find any.

Anyone have any links?

2. I am pretty bummed about it, for one.
Just because I've known BD for so long, even if he is something of a freeper.

Hopefully it will have some intellectual impact on the emotionally disengaged readers. War is real and thousands of people, soldiers and civillians, have been losing limbs as well as, all too often, their lives, in this imperialist escapade.

5. what bullshit!!!
"graphic, violent battlefield depictions of Iraq"?????!!!!!

This is absolutely pathetic. It's amazing how the Shrub apologists will go to such lengths to prevent people from thinking about the costs of the war on Iraq.

4. One newspaper is not carrying this line
So far the cartoon is very well done. I have always liked BD. This is going to be a powerful set of strips.

6. The next big problem comes when he wakes up in the hospital.....
.....to find his leg missing and shouts out "SON OF A B*TCH!"
Papers are allowed to either run it as is or cut it but no substitution of the 'b' word is allowed per Trudeau! :)

I wonder if we'll be 'allowed' to post that one here?
