Kerry fails to show military records-My post at Conservative x
Edited on Wed Apr-21-04 03:10 PM by noahmijo
Thought you guys might like this. I took the time to post this at a predominately conservative site http://conservativex.com and still no one has responded to it

Within a couple of minutes of them being demanded...naw that liar was asked yesterday morning for them and he waited all the way till the afternoon to authorize and have them released. I mean we all know that Bush didn't wait that long to release those dental records of his! (sic)

Well anyways here they are see for yourself the records behind two of his purple hearts:

http://wid.ap.org/documents/kerry/actionreports.pdf

Also on here: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040421/ap_on_el_pr/kerry_purple_hearts&cid=694&ncid=2043

Quote:
Kerry's former commanding officer, Lt. Cmdr. Grant Hibbard, told the Boston Globe last week that Kerry's first Purple Heart came from minor wound, resembling a fingernail scrape.
The campaign could not locate a similar report for Kerry's original Purple Heart. As evidence that Kerry was wounded, campaign spokesman Michael Meehan showed The Associated Press a "Sick Call Treatment Record" from Kerry's personal files that included a brief written note dated Dec. 3, 1968, and stamped from the naval support facility at Cam Ranh Bay.

So that wound obviously was most likely not up to par with Kerry's shrapnel wounds, but was still deemed a wound nonetheless. I remember hearing of how soldiers who had bad falls or especially nasty cuts that may easily happen during the heat of battle (you throw yourself down on sharp ground long enough you'll get banged up easily) and they were awarded purple hearts so I guess we can assume it could've resulted from that type of situation.

Not withstanding that incident, it is still documented and confirmed that Kerry served, spilled blood, saved a man, and unlike someone else we know, did not chicken out during battle or out of the war itself.

You can see the accounts (on the above link) on which he earned his silver and bronze stars, as well as how he pulled Jim Rassmann to safety after a mine blast caused him to be blown overboard.

It's obvious that Kerry's people are doing everything they can to keep these records from being made public for all of us to see and judge.

Quote:
When asked about the questions surrounding his Purple Hearts Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press," Kerry said all his military records are available to the public. Meehan said Kerry requested a copy of his record from the Navy last month and received roughly 150 pages last week. He said the entire file would be posted online.

So now after reading this I'm sure most of you are going to furiously type out how "it's all a lie" these records are false. the liberal media has fabricated this and that, but Newsmax says it's phony so they must be right, ect, look, just accept it, Bush's campaign advisors have buffooned themselves once again by attacking an area which they should know better to leave alone. It's funny how many repubs are claiming that the wounds weren't "serious enough" to warrant purple hearts. I'd like to see anyone have shrapnel blown into your flesh and then have some armchair general tell you "oh well it's not that serious"  and keep a straight face.

So anyways what does this all prove? well it just shows that when it comes to military service and bravery, Bush looks like a mouse compared to Kerry. In all fairness I will say this DOESN'T mean automatically that Kerry would make a far better president based on his service in Vietnam. Personally though in times like these I'd prefer a guy who understands what it's like to be a soldier and be in a warzone, and has stated plans to put pressure on the Saudis as opposed to a guy who cozies up to Prince Bandar of Saudia Arabia while lying to us about the "imminent threat" of Iraq.

Oh and because Kerry like all liberals hates the military soooo much and wants to screw them over just like Clinton did here is his plan for our men and women in uniform: http://www.johnkerry.com/pressroom/releases/pr_2004_0317.html

So I'm still wondering how they will respond, although before anyone thinks about infiltrating that site or anything, in all fairness the owner of the site is quite fair to the number of liberals there (and there are lots) and I have actually seen her ban conservative people not just liberals who attempted to stir up a riot at the forumn so to speak.

But anyways thought you'd all like this and get a better sense of Kerry's military history, and why maybe like me you'll feel outraged that the GOP would have the gaw to question Kerry's service. Be sure to take note of my sarcastic statements as to not be confused with my real feelings on the issue

1. NEDRA PICKLER, again!

No wonder the article deemphasized his saving another soldier after being wounded by an explosive mine.

I think the Kerry campaign should ban her from writing about them or ask that another correspondant take her place.

She clearly has a vendetta against Democrats, imho.

Ler her go fawn over the Republicans. That's where she'd rather be, anyway, I think.
