Howard F@cking Fineman strikes again...
Edited on Wed Apr-21-04 06:43 AM by Redleg
On Imus this morning, Fineman said "Kerry is all over the place on all the issues." He also suggested that the politicization of the 9-11 commission by Ben Veniste and Gorelick have actually boosted Bush's popularity. Once again, Fineman proves himself to be the Media Whore extraordinaire.

By the way- I don't normally watch Imus but I happened across the segment with the fool Fineman while channel surfing.

4. Thats the "talking point" the Rove instructed Media Whores to use.
You can't turn on TV or Radio without hearing that same shit over and over. Go back to 92 when Clinton was running and see what Bush kept saying about Gov. Clinton. He's all over the place on issues,he waffles blah, blah, blah.

Meanwhile back at the ranch,Chimpboy just waffled on his overtime bill which puts the screws deeper into the back of working class. Now all of a sudden their rolling it back somewhat. Gee,wonder why?? Couldn't be because the election is six months away?? Nah...

5. Give the devil his due
I was talking the other day to 2 repugs who started in on Gorelick-that was their main point-after all that has gone down in 2 weeks this was their hot topic-really I was shocked but this is what the media and the GOP brainwashers peddle-pay no attention to the flag draped coffins

6. Is Kerry all over the place on the issues?
Or should we blame the messenger?

10. Kerry may have inconsistencies on some issues but not on all
and certainly not on the majority.

Yes, we should kill the messenger because the messenger neglects to point out the many inconsistencies, flip-flops, ambiguities, and deceptions of Bush.

12. I agree
Kerry's campaign staff seems to be all over the place. Here's an idea, get a message and focus on it. Something. Some national TV ads might be nice too. Call me crazy.

get some damned ads on TV.

8. Agreed
"why people don't see the effect is beyond me..."

Because they don't want to see it.

Here is the difference now which will eventually negate the "clinton effect"...
during clinton's days we were nearly all in the "roses" (or thought we were hehe). The world was getting better, the future appeared bright etc.

That was then, now we Live in Hell.

Most people in this country are still barely awake after a long selfish-sweet slumber. But when roused from a pleasant dream, the sheep turn into grouchy bears (just think of how you feel now about Everything!!!... ready to rip apart walls anyone?... infuriated way beyond what you ever believed was possible for yourself?? All of us daily read our feelings in every screaming DU post!!!)

So we need to Rave On. Turn up the heat.

15. Turn it up on what?
A good number of 'Mericuns view Iraq as "entertainment" a sort of reality TV show. They love it.

16. My point was we should not be afraid of
the clinton effect.
Maybe I should have said keep being as noisy as we have been, and dont be afraid to keep building up the noise level.
The clinton effect will be negated as more of the sleepers awaken.
Many will awaken as pissed off as the rest of us are-- especially after their denial is wiped from their eyes by seeing the real circumstances of the country and world on ALL levels as it is today!

18. Not just about Iraq, either
Republicans should be outraged at his huge expanse of fed govt power and his unchecked spending.

Libertarians should be upset about his infringing on our freedoms with the Patriot Act and other such crap.

Independents -- who knows what the hell those people think? ;)

Sersiously, though, it's more than just the unnecessary war and its victims and its cost -- way more.

9. Whether he succeed depends on one thing
Whether the Kerry supporters on these shows with him call him on his whoring real-time, on air. If they do, he'll stop. If they don't, he won't.

11. Anybody who's been in the Senate that long
will have been all over on the issues.

That's one reason Senators never get elected President. Unless they hvae conducted themselves very carefully, you can find dozens of votes to manipulate in the media.

20. This is the reason I miss MWO so much
They warned us about Tweety and Howard the Duck from the get-go. I see headlines on DU from time to time saying such things as "Matthews Jumping all over Bush", or "Bush Has Lost Fineman!" Please people, don't pin your hopes on these two idiots standing up for Democracy. They will sell this country out for a nickname from Bush.
