Is the "Coalition of the Willing" falling apart?
What is it, four now?

Rats from a sinking ship. What does this mean for our soldiers?

What does it mean for our kids? A draft? Pretty likely at this point, sad to say...

Are we going to end up standing alone in Iraq? What does it mean if we do?

1. It means we get all the spoils to ourselves

wasn't that shocking when shrub used the language "the spoils of war"? Spoils in a war of supposed "liberation"?

2. Coalitions built only on the shifting sands of will
without foundation, have a way of being blown away...

3. Definitely falling apart.
I expect a draft - especially because at the same time we have fewer friends, we also have a lot more enemies. And those enemies are steadily more motivated.

7. Where will it end?
Compulsory military education from age five for all Americans in some far-flung Dark Future? I sincerely hope not!!!

9. I doubt it.
The current pattern isn't sustainable. That doesn't mean that we won't experience quite a number of years of unpleasantness...

4. It was never a "coalition of the willing"
It was more like the Coalition of the bribed, coerced, and cajoled.

6. Yes, the coalition, if it really was, is falling apart.
George has not done anything to hold what he had together, and keeps doing things to pi** of everybody. I thought I read something today that Blair was opposing something Shrub said.

If he loses Blair, we're all toast!

If Blair pulls his out and forces us to stand alone.... I shudder to imagine what the future will think of us.

Not to mention our people over there.

13. I knew that...
I should have put that word in further quotes, 'coalition' of the "willing" might have been more appropriate. It's often very hard to get spoken subtlties across clearly in print.

Sorry for the confusion.

12. It means Bush Must Go
IF we stand alone in Iraq it will be just like Vietnam.

We were alone in Vietnam and it turned into a quagmire( I love that word). We left and the country was in chaos for a long time.

Unless we have different leadership who can keep the International community engaged Iraq will be this generation's Vietnam. We will be going it alone and the world will turn against us. Wwwe will be fighting a war we cannot win because we cannot create a democracy at the point of a gun.

Bush Must Go.
