I have been thinking of joining the DSA
Democratic Socialists of America. Are there any members here and if so what do you think of them? I know a few very liberal congressmen are members, John Sweeney is a member along with other influential activists. The author of Nickle and Dimed is also a member.

2. They are far better than Social Democrats, USA
Whatever you do, stay away from Social Democrats, USA. They're the incubator of the neoCONS!

3. Here is the link to their site.

You can watch them for a while, sign up for E-Mail, then decide for yourself.

There is a VERY socially progressive organization called The Congressional Progressive Caucus. Membership includes Dennis Kucinich and Bernie Sanders (independent). Wellstone was active before he was killed. Their website is thin, and they don't get much media coverage.

I would like to work with these guys, but it is difficult to find out what they are doing...if anything. I can't even find out how to send them money.

5. Best thing to do is get them elected as often as possible.
Donate to the individual candidate. It's when they raise serious money and WIN that the party as a whole benefits from their increasing presence.

Their periodical is quite good, and they do lots of valuable union work.
