We'll all be dead in ten years/so? (link fixed
Edited on Tue Apr-20-04 02:41 PM by candy331
According to the transcript with Woodward on Washington post today at 1:00pm.

What is the meaning of this that we will all be departed in 10/more years? by natural death, God Armageddon beliefs, mans self destruction or what? Bush himself will only be in his late sixties not even as old as his parents so what the hell is he talking about?

Bob Woodward: I don't know. And that's an interesting question and only going to be settled in the months and years ahead. At the end of 3-1/2 hours of interviews with him, I asked him how he thought history would judge his Iraq war and he smiled and said, "History, we won't know. We'll all be dead."

I've had some calls and e-mails asking did he somehow mean that we're not all going to survive. What he meant in the context of the question which was stated was and he said, the judgment of history is way off, 10 years or more and when that judgment is finally made it will be so long that we will all be departed.

4. Ron (morning in America) Reagan would never have said this.
This can be used to turn off a lot of people to Bush.
He has blown it with this doozy.

5. Much ado about nothing
Sorry this one is an old accounting quote. The original quote was "In the long term we are all dead anyway".

I know that he as seen this video, "Jerusalem: War or Peace". His brother in Florida, Jeb Bush, has seen it because he wrote me the most heartfelt letter. So, yes, I think George W. knows that he's destined for this final hour in prophetic history.

9. It supposedly meant that the judgement of history is known much later.
But I did wonder whether: (1) Dubya figured that his hotting up the nuclear-weapons race with Russia was bound to end history; (2) Dubya believes the millenialist crap that some in his misadministration are pushing; or (3) Dubya thinks that global warming is working faster than most of us think.

10. It's Da End Of Da World As We Know It
Remember when James Watt made "strip-mining" a household word in America? He eventually let it out of the bag that it was our "duty" to use the Earth's resources up quickly, because Jesus was coming to take "us*" away real soon, like maybe next week. It wasn't lunatic crap like that which got him booted from the White House; it was insulting the Beach Boys.

Why should one not be justified in assuming that the latest swarm of rats in the White House don't apply the same philosophy, not just to the environment and domestic natural resources, but to everything?

Think Cheney gives a damn about his own kids, let alone yours?

* "us" meaning wealthy white boys from key fraternities

11. The world and reality really does begin and end with Bush.....
He has absolutely no concept that even in his own family...there will be grandchildren and great grandchildren, etc. etc.(much less all the other people on earth that would like to be born and thrive long after we throw his ugly ass out of washington....)

I can see how he could care less about air quality, water quality, forests, a sustainable future (ie, fertile seeds!~). Nothing past the day HE dies is relevant to anything.

Wow, he sets new limits on narcissism.... so narcissistic that he doesn't even FEIGN to relate to the rest of the world..... (most narcissists are actors, and they know how to pretend to be like everyone else... not bush, man... not bush.... he is out of the N-closet .. a Flaming N!)
