If the Gallup poll is correct, Americans are suffering from mass insanity!
Seriously. Unless the Gallup polls are rigged its the only logical explanation. Why else would people be tolerating the following greatly condensed list of * outrages:

1.) Our sons and daughters are being slaughtered by the day in ever growing numbers in Iraq. The draft is obviously going to be reinstated due to a lack of volunteer cannon fodder.
2.) The pResident and his minions have been proven to have lie about getting US into Iraqmire.
3.) The pResident is reducing education to a total farce, making schools teach to the government test or face being shut down. Meanwhile no funds are provided to help financially stretched schools reach illiterate Chimp's absurd standards.
4.) The pResident lied about the costs, and benefits, of Medicare drug benefits.
5.) No investigation has been allowed regarding Cheney's secret energy meetings. This despite the well known fact that * and Cheney are intimately in bed with Enron and Ken Lay.
6.) Halliburton got the lion's share of contracts in Iraq, with NO BIDDING allowed by other companies. But after that outrage was exposed and created a brief flurry of negative reaction, Halliburton is still in Iraq doing business. We only know that from the dead bodies of Halliburton employees strewn all over the Iraqi landscape.

There are dozens more, which I don't have the time or energy to describe. 9/11 is huge here, but probably doesn't resonate outside DU or similar sites. The ones on my list, however, have been widely publicized on mainstream press and t.v. No excuses. Rational people, who don't have something to directly gain from *'s little shop of horrors, know enough to want these criminals out.

1. If these fucking idiots would get educated about this kind of stuff...
We wouldn't have to worry, Bush would've been impeached.

2. all the result of propaganda
Edited on Mon Apr-19-04 08:04 PM by Marianne
the task is to determine how so many people can be entranced with the Bush propaganda.

and actually believe it with all of their heart.

It seems that there are half the country that are off in space and will believe anything and are so convinced that following a leader is
"safe". Are they all so scared out of thier minds of the "terra" Bush keeps throwing at them? Maybe so.

These are the childish thinkers.

But,that begs the question--why do we have so many, if we are to believe this poll, that are childish thinkers, willing to blindly follow an evil man who has been absolutely directly responsible for the murders of tens of thousands of innocent people in Iraq.

Why are we not better educated to recognize propaganda and the use of fear to get us all in line?

that is what the task is. Why are so many willing to accept a baby killer as a leader evenb when that leader is a puppet and an obvious less than intelligent man who was not even elected?

Why and how could we have arrived at this improbable state?

Half the people of this country must be below the average in intelligence, And we must ask, howcome?

Jobs are lost, there is nothing he can claim that he has done that is a positive for this country, yet we see polls like this.

I can only conclude that more than half the people in this country are dumbeddown sheep, without a scintilla of care about it at all.

4. I agree to some extent.
A lot of people are totally self-centered and could care less about Iraqis. For them it's normally a matter of simply following the pied piper waving an American flag. But, survival of self, family, friends and especially offspring is an entirely different matter. It's becoming abundantly clear that we're being sent to die on the basis of lies. Even the whores talk enough about it to make the staunchest winger wonder. Since most folks aren't wingnuts, I suspect they are horrified by the situation in Iraq. That's why I believe that Gallup is 100% rigged.

3. Gallup polls are a bunch of nonsense in my humble opinion. They
don't ever coincide with any other polls out there, they are always slanted toward the right wing. Does anyone know how they ask their questions, what phrasing they use? Has anyone here ever been contacted by the Gallup organization? I don't think they're a very good reflection of what the country is thinking and feeling right now, in fact, I pretty much think they're right-winged slanted propaganda.
