Rev. Falwell: "Gene Robinson is not a man of God."

This is what the "Reverend" Falwell just said about Gene Robinson on Crossfire. Said he could not be a leader in the Episcopal Church becuase of his homosexuality.

Doesn't this strike you as just ever so slightly ironic? I'm sure Mr. Falwell considers himself to be "a man of God."

I'm a Catholic and I'm thrilled about Robinson's becoming Bishop. I think whenever any religion becomes more tolerant, it might help push my people, and other religions, into the mid 20th century.

and, if he had any manners--or was a man of God himself---he'd keep his damn nose out of the business of my church. It isn't his alledged hypocrisy that disgusts me so much as his presumption to speak for or meddle in the affairs of another denomination.

As for being Christian, what I have seen of Father Robinson shows that he is indeed more of a Christian than Rev. Falwell. I've yet to see or hear of Robinson spewing the venom that Falwell has for years in every direction.

I signed up for Foulwell's email list as a lark, mainly to see what the evil old cooter was up to. After I did, my main email addy (which had never seen a single bit of spam) started getting blasted with the most disgusting porno spam you can think of.
