So where's the Oil?
In his press conference when asked about his mistakes about flower baring Iraqis and paying for re-construction with the oil revenues GW responded with a puzzling answer of 'The revenues are higher than expected' and 'the oil is flowing freely'. Is the pres getting his info from the magic 8 ball again or is their another reason that gas prices just went up 5 cents a gallon?

1. Yeah, the oil is flowing freely
all over the desert sands.

Too bad little of it is actually making it to market.

2. Magic 8 ball. Word around some sites is the oil is not flowing.
There is also that new pipeline from the oil fields south to Kuwait. And stories about the oil going to Israel.

Heard a story about why the price is going up:

the dollar is down so much, they had to raise the price to keep up their income - thank you Bush.

Another - the deficiet problem has got the world scared. And the Chinese are growing and demanding oil and they control our dollar.

5. I heard that about the dollar...
Also something about investors worried that the interest rate has to rise. You have to wonder if Bush Co. has done all this (tax cuts low dollar high gas prices) so that when a Democrat takes the Oval Office everything that HAS to be done to fix the mess like raising taxes and putting higher fuel standards on cars/trucks that they get more 'Tax and Spend Democrat' fuel for future elections...

3. I wish prices had "only" gone up five cents per gallon...
We had an increase here of 16 cents overnight last Sunday. People paying $1.80-2.50 per gallon and they claim they got a tax cut from Bush?? ROFLOL...poor,ignorant FOOLS....

4. actually the oil IS flowing... there are scores of articles out there,
mostly from gas and oil industry news sources that detail the output.

But you DO know that none of tha fuel is intended for the USA? we aren't having a shortage of any sort. there is plenty of fuel for us. The oil cos are taking their profits now, for when the fuel supply runs short in July when bush is expected to invade IRAN.

Go figure.

BTW, the fuel in iraq is destined for israel, turkey, then india and china.

6. Bush won't invade anyone until after the election....
Not a chance,if he does I'll come back and say I was wrong but I don't see it happening.

If elected in Nov,oh HELL yes we'll be killing civilians in yet another country most likely by this time next year.

9. Bush Administration Readying for 2004 Invasion of Iran
Might wanna read this;

http://www.globalresearch.ca/articles/STA303B.html

Even though Syria is next on the chopping block according to the authors of A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm--chief among them Richard Perle and Douglas Feith--it is Iran that they covet. In their view, it's payback time for the 1970's overthrow of the Shah and subsequent takeover by Khomeni (then exiled in France), the occupation of the US Embassy, the ensuing hostage crisis, the botched rescue attempt that sullied America's military reputation, and tit-for-tat terrorist actions over the years between the US and Iran (US Navy shoot down of Iranian airliner, Iranian backed terrorist attacks on US troops, etc). Nevermind that in 1953, the US, UK and Israeli intelligence were responsible for a coup which ousted the nationalistic Iranian prime minister Mossadegh and would ultimately lead to regional conflict with Iraq and hatred of the US to this day. The same stupidity was repeated in 1963 in Iraq, when US, UK and Israeli intelligence whipped up a coup decapitating prime minister Assem (a 25 year-old named Saddam Hussein played a key role in that effort) which would ultimately lead to regional conflict with Iran and Kuwait and hatred of the US to this day.

The bottom line has not changed in 2003. It is all about economics. In the 1950's and 1960's, the US and UK were worried about the nationalization of oil production by Iran and Iraq. In 2003 it is the same. The US consumes roughly 30 percent of the world's energy production (as measured in British Thermal Units) yet has only 5 percent of its population. "We have 50 percent of the world's wealth but only 6.3 percent of its population. In this situation, our real job...is to devise a series of relationships which permit us to maintain this position of disparity. To do so we have to dispense with sentimentality...we should cease thinking about human rights, the raising of living standards and democratization." That according to George Kennan in 1948 (see Richard Heinberg's fine article at www.onlinejournal.com for more on US and Eurasia).

The United States and Western Europe have unwaveringly adhered to Kennan's advice and have only themselves to blame for the madness currently underway in Middle East and Persian Gulf. For over 50 years, through coups, preemptive airstrikes and vicious propaganda, the US, UK, France, Israel and other European nations have long been engaged in "preemption" by attacking and decapitating the legitimate leaders of the nations that makeup that region.

And it's on the PNAC agenda. Bush needs WAR to stay in office.

10. Remember he's a WAR president!
Scary thought on that one.... what if 2 months before the election Syria or Iran tries to 'invade' Iraq? then we have a massive war and as you know, they would make the sheeple think "you don't change horses in the middle of a race" so we would get 4 years (or more if they repeal the only 2 term limit) of Bush Co.

8. Try to imagine
what the price would be if the Neo-cons hadn't made a move to secure the remaining reserves on the planet.
