Military families continue to get stonewalled -- and screwed.

The following paragraphs really got to me:

The wife, a 1st Armored Division spouse in Wiesbaden who did not want to be identified because she was afraid of possible repercussions to her husband, said the extension has been difficult for her children, ages 2 and 10.

“Well, to put it this way, our son asked a soldier who works at the post office if he was his daddy,” the woman said.

was really good and now she’s starting to show some problems in school.”

WHAT SHALL WE TELL THE CHILDREN?

1. IF you know any of these wives
tell them it is time to contact a lawyer

Oh and for the rest, RAISE HELL WITH CONGRESS... this is the US of A, not the USSR.

And the other kids at school?

“They don’t mention it,” John said, “so they don’t cry.”

4. The military has been bullying the families into shutting up
One mother called to see if her son was okay in Fallujah..his commander woke the whole unit up and they fragged him for his mother calling, another mother lost her son who was sent back to Iraq filled with shrapnel wounds and PTSD..I was harassed by my stepsons unit wives when I came out vocally anti war and my stepson was hauled in front of the unit commander for my anti war stance and they told me to shut up...I cant use his name now in my letters to the editor.
and on and on
I did call a lawyer, and my senator has all the emails from my stepson on file, and my statements are on file with him too.
The families are being bullied to not speak out. Their loved ones are being harassed and held in front of them as ransom if they do.

6. that was my fear when my husband was on the line
in a USN Sub... he said go for it, he was also close to retirement

Now what we all need to do is not only contact lawyers but... remain vocal. Thankfully the fear of repercusions are over for me, as my husband is now happily USN (ret)

7. The Bushistas think they can blow off anybody ...
who's not super rich (and they try to jail even some of them).

The best thing the families can tell the children is: 'I'm voting Democratic this year.'
