where exactly IS Saddam now?
does anyone even know?

Aren't there rules, etc, regarding captured foreign leaders? Or is he an "enemy combatant" or some such bs?

2. Rumor Has It
That Saddam is currently located at the USAF base in Qatar. He was taken there for fear that the insurgents would try to rescue him.

Former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein has not been moved out of Iraq since his capture last December by American forces, a US military official said in remarks published yesterday.

"Saddam Hussein has absolutely never left Iraq since his arrest," Lieutenant General Lance Smith, deputy head of US Central Command, which includes Iraq, told the London-based Al Hayat newspaper.

"He is in Iraq and we don't want to transfer him anywhere else.

He will appear before an Iraqi court to be tried," Smith said.

3. Probably in an underground bunker with
ggod ole Dick Cheney to keep him company. I wonder if Dick comes out at night and at dawn goes back to his coffin to sleep.
