3. Nixon was a mixed bag
...who pursued a polcy of detente with communist countries and signed the EPA into existence. He started the war on drugs, but had rehab, not interdeiction and Draconian sentencing, as its cornerstone.

He also hamfistedly tried to subvert the voting process, and he illegally used the military and the CIA aginst US citizens in his paranoia about the antiwar movement.

I never thought I'd miss him, either, but Bush has done all of the bad and none of the good.

If we still have a country left, Bush will go down in infamy.

6. Nixon was smarter, more compassionate, more honest, and a better diplomat
other than that, Georgie measures up pretty good.

7. Nixon was no prize. He was justifiably forced to resign.
He widened the Vietnam War to Cambodia, ultimately resulting in millions of deaths. He was vile and crude.

And he was so much better than Dubya that there's just no comparison. He was also fairly effective as a president, although often in doing the wrong things.

9. we had CETA job training under Nixon
but that's when housing started to go up in price.
You used to not have to spend so much of your income on housing-
that changed under Nixon & it has been getting worse ever since.

Bush is incapable of telling the truth.

11. Another good question is How will Clinton be seen since Bush?
Suddenly Bill's lies don't seem so bad (even to some Republicans who won't admit it)

I'm just glad the 2 worst presidents in modern history are Republicans!!
