Edited on Tue Aug-05-03 10:21 PM by BackDoorMan
believe we are. For our country and our children's, children we should NEVER GET OVER IT! We did nothing last time and they are going to be bolder this time...fucking fascist!

And we must stop the fraud they plan to perpetuate in 2004 with no paper trail black boxes and the republican counters...and the other bullshit they plann, and after the election it will be too late.

As the republicans will claim, it's a mandate.

10. No. I knew I would never get over it.
And I didn't. I still think about it sometimes. I think about being a little girl in social studies class in the fifties, and the things we learned. Social studies was my favorite subject. And then I think about that little girl growing up to see the end of free elections in America. It still breaks my heart. It always will. No, I'm not over it.

12. The best revenge is living well
Let's unite and stand up as a proud Democratic Party and kick Bush out of office, based on our principles and policies. That can't be construed as anything except exactly what it is. We're the better choice for America.

26. The day I see a Bush behind bars
That's the day hell freezes over. Besides, even with Harris, Bush has a LONG LIST of pardons to hand out before he departs office. It will be his final evil crime. So long as there's a Republican in the White House there will be no Repubicans in jail.

18. you're kidding, right?
kerry is suggesting we get over it? He's lost me if that's true.

Never forgive and never forget. I'll only get over it when I'm dead. Maybe not even then.

19. That's the official public face of Kerry and most other Dems.
if Kerry had said to storm the ramparts and raise hell over the selection, he'd have been branded another anti-government terrorist democrat by the GOP spin machine. Some things are better left unspoken.

And on reflection, if we NEED our politicians to stoke that fire for us then the sad truth is- there is something wrong with us!

20. maybe so, but the "crying into our teacups" remark
was patently insulting and ridiculous; does he think he'll be able to buy the election like W did?

23. If Kerry had any sense he would not have said anything
Like you said, NYfM. some things are better left unspoken. The whole sordid affair is like a spike in the heart of democracy. For someone wanting to lead our democracy to say something like 'get over it'....that's sick.
