69% favorable rating of bush's handling of foreign policy???
This is the type of result that makes the Bush people think we are idiots. A combined 69% currently (only 128 votes, though) think his handling of Foreign policy is in the "Masterful" to "Skillful" area. I'm not saying the readers of this site are the general electorate, but no matter who it is ... it freaks me out. It's this type of thing that Rove and Co. dig for to justify their ghastly behavior.

Here's the poll should anyone feel inclined to send a message (right side at the top) : http://www.allamericanpatriots.com/

Btw, I voted for "Abysmal"

I love polls and went through the poll section at the rest of the site too (Political Polls on the Main Menu). There are some interesting results to their many current polls.

Best, Chees

1. It's kind of silly to participate in a poll on a right wing site.
It's obvious , not only from the name of the site, but from a quick perusal of the topics , that this is a conservative extremest site. The poll will reflect that.

2. Does anyone else find this article from their site a bit ironic. . . .
not to mention hypocritical:

Cheney Says War on Terror Should Not Stifle Individual Rights
Vice President speaks at China's Fudan University April 15

15 April 2004

U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney praised China for its expanded cooperation on counterterrorism efforts, but cautioned that "the war on terror must never be used as an excuse for silencing legitimate dissent and expressions of opinion."

3. It is unusual
It is unusual . . . this news item "Tax Day: Facts and Fibs about the Bush Tax Cut" is two posts above this one "Tax Day Update: Millions of Americans Benefit from the President’s Tax Relief as the U.S. Economy Grows Stronger".

I also found on this site Kerry's reply to Rummy's statement yesterday that “people are fungible” (Rummy's comments are right below it).

Is it irony or is it subversive?

6. W/o even looking at the poll...
...let's look at the site name. "All American Partiots". Anytime I see "patriot" in a group name I'm cautious. Kinda like seeing "family" in the name. Code for one piece or another of the RW agenda.

Not saying the word patriot of family are bad, just that in the context of action groups it does tend to have a specific meaning.

11. Let's take it back then
That's part of the problem. I agree with you 100% that the word has begun turn my stomach. Maybe we Dems should campaign to take back the word patriot. It shouldn't be so Republicanized. Replace the republican definition of "blind and unquestioning love for the USA" with something like "informed questioning toward further development and improvement of the USA (and the world we live in)".

Dunno, but it seems to me that this is something Kerry could work with.

13. Is this an arm of U. s. News and World Report, trying to garner repug
readers?
The reason I ask is that a little white box saying "U. S. News . ." appeared at the bottom of my screen when I clicked on the site.

15. Why does this make shrub's people think we're idiots?
This poll is completely meaningless and not worth the effort. Have to admit I did look though - one of the choices is "masterful". Oh the irony...
