Need help tracking something down from the O'Franken factor
On Monday's show, I think, Al Franken mentioned an article in which Bush's current economic advisor advocated an increase in the gasoline tax coupled with an income tax reduction. The article is from 1999 but that is all I remember. The blog doesn't have it. I mentioned this at a lecture by our Congressional candidate and she would like the source. Thanks in advance. I have tried Google but since I don't recall the advisor's name and don't recall the magazine's name I am stumped.

3. Mankiw! The genius behind the "fast food is manufacturing" idea!
This administration takes everything to the next level, I'll give 'em that much.

4. Ya beat me to it!!
That name sounded awfully familiar, so I Googled it a few minutes ago. Here's that "Making Big Macs builds jobs" reference: http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/166595p-145751c.html

He's now on Bush's Council of Economix Advisors, and the conventional Supply Side WHACKOS are freaking out over that selection: http://www.nationalreview.com/moore/moore022803b.asp
