Ok. Clearly the dam is starting to break, as the drips, like CHinese water torture, start to drip louder and louder, and apparently, more frequently.

Now, we are finally hearing about the Cheney energy task force after only two years of stonwalling. Good timing in fact, with all the media hype surrounding the Davis recall. Methinks the recall could blow up in their face, if the media does its job regarding Cheney's task force.

So, the big question is, with falling poll numbers and increasing public scrutiny, what rabbit are they going to pull out of their hat to counter all this?

Clearly missing Basketball players, Laci, Martha Stewart, and such stories are not going to be big enough to cover/distract from the brewing storm.

Are we in for another attack? Actually another attack will underscore their incompetence, so I do not think it is likely, although who knows. Another terra alert? After 4 false positives, even this is starting to sound like the Boy who cried Wolf.

Perhaps they already have Saddam or Osama bagged, and they are waiting for the right moment to play the card? With all the talk about how Iraq won't be secure until Saddam is captured or killed, I am thinking this is what's coming.

What else is out there, guys - anyone else care to speculate? Tin foil not included.

This is morbid, but some speculate that Ronald Reagan has been deceased for a while. And, that they're just waiting for an opportune moment for a big, splashy state funeral. I sort of doubt it though; I don't think Nancy would go for that. She supposedly despises Dubya.

There's always the potential for an arrest of their Enron buddies. Everyone's been waiting for Skilling or Lay to actually be charged with something, anything. BushCo would take them out if the timing was necessary. Bush & Co. are adept at managing the news (Jessica Lynch anyone?), especially regarding timing.
