Who was Randi Rhodes talking about this afternoon Re: Iceland?
I missed the beginning of the segment. She was talking about relocating some people to Iceland. Did anyone hear that? What was she talking about?

1. Dont know about that
But I do know that Iceland is very expensive and has the highest standard of living in the world. Nice place to visit. In Florida there is a special that Icelandic Offers for a weekend stay in Iceland for about 500 bucks that flies out or Orlando. For some reason unimaginable to me, Iceland has chosen to put its U.S. consulate in Boca Raton Florida. Until I became disabled Iceland was always my secret get away for a few days spot because of this offer, which originally started at 395 dollars. It is a neat place but dont expect much in the line of vegetarian foor or steaks, Its lamb and fish and skyr (a sort of skim milk yogurt).Historically it had the first democrtatic parliamentary sort of government, and is still probably the most democratic nation on earth. Rare place where an average citizen can complain to the president by going to their home and sitting and griping over a cup of coffee or tea.

2. I am trying to remember if it was the
religious right nutjobs but I really can't recall. She did then say Greenland would be a better place to send "them" because Iceland was actually a very nice place. Wish I could remember who "they" were.

3. There was a rumor
that Iceland was the warmer climate between Greenland and Iceland, so the European settlers called it Iceland to trick people into choosing to go to Greenland instead of Iceland
