Bush confident that Iraq had WMD in 1991. and other lies.
That is what they just reported on CNN with a straight face. The liar went on to say, that his predecessor bombed iraq in 1998 based on that same evidence.

Can you believe this? It's all Clinton's fault.

Let's go though this.

1. In 1998 that intelligence may have been fresh even though still faulty. Five years later it was well known that the intelligence was bogus, and they knew it.

2. Clinton targeted what they thought were the WMD manufacturing facilities back in 1998. He did not attack Iraq pre-emptively, as in a ground invasion where we take out their leader and violate Iraqi sovereignty. He did not put our people on the ground to die every day. He did not act without UN backing.

Bush has done all of the above.

For him to even hide behind his predecessor show you that Bush suffers from Clinton envy. He wishes that he could be like him, but he never will. But you can't hide behind Clinton's apron strings any more, it's time to take some responsibility. But I don't think he can.

Now as it is imperative for him to tell the truth, he continues his lies and obfuscation by blaming other people for his failures. Other people that have nothing to do with his life and his poor choices. He sure sounds like an alcoholic to me.

1. Ha!
So much for the 'party of responsibility'. This administration hasn't taken responsibility for anything.

3. I think that the time is now.
They no longer have spin control. No matter what FOX or hate radio says, the body bags coming home say it louder.

6. They obviously were working
There are no WMD. And Saddam had four years without UN inspectors and they still did not aquire WMD.

If Bush wanted absolute proof, He could have sent some US troops as back up for the UN. What he did to Iraq is criminal.

5. Sure he had biological and chemical agents
and he probably still had the receipts from the stuff that we sold him! Here's a list of the stuff that he bought from the US (through 1989)

7. What an ass!
Who doubted that they did have WMD in the past? That wasn't the point of going to war...it was that THEY WERE AN IMMINENT THREAT TO OUR SECURITY! That's what he said without having any actual proof!

Good Lord I wish this country would wake up! They crucify Gore for making a vague statement about a girl in a classroom...and they let this weasel lie and kill...cause he's a popular president! This is what Peter Jennings said on the Evening News last night...first he lists off Bush's lies and then points out that they won't be investigated because "he's a popular president".

8. And Dubya knew that Iraq had WMDs in 1991 because ...
Rummy had given WMDs to Iraq in the 1980s.

last weekend i was riding on BART, and i did a double take. in the car there was an ad with a reproduction of that grainy photo showing Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam, in the 80s. the text was, "Who are we arming now?"

10. But but but I thought the ADULTS were in charge now!!!!
Why would Chimpy SockinHisPants McCokespoon possible cite a Clinton policy in justification for this invasion?

Is he now defering to the Children of the prior administration?

Or, could it be that Clinton's policy of containment WORKED and Smirk is trying to glom onto Clinton's successes and pretend that this INVASION was an extension of Clinton's successful containment policy?
