I didn't read any of this in the newspapers so must not be true. I sent him an interview of a man who wrote a book about lihop/

In reference to 9/11, Bush let it happen on purpose in order to get us into war

2. Most web sites...
...that talk about LIHOP base their stories on mainstream newspapers. Google it, they're full of links. It's not that LIHOP isn't apparent from even mainstream newspapers, it's that you have to put together and juxtapose different stories.

3. Don't Worry About It
My dad is the exact same way. Dismisses it as internet conpriacies, he won't even believe anything about Op Northwoods. Sometimes the old timers just don't want to believe something that evil is really feasible. BTW, my dad is a flaming liberal who did a lot of work with the ACLU and protested Vietnam at the Pentagon with armed national guards in his face.

8. A Little Bit Of Bias, Eh?
"Sometimes the old timers just don't want to believe something that evil is really feasible."

Perhaps it is because, at age 52, I am no doubt someone some folks might consider to be an "old timer", but I really do get a bit upset when I see sentences like this one in your post.

I really don't happen to believe that the inability or the unwillingness of people to believe that something truly evik is feasible is confined to those of us who are "old timers".

And, should you think that I am overly sensitive on this point, imagine how you might feel if I were to say something like, "Yeah, you know, sometimes those young kids just don't want to believe that there might be another way of looking at the world."

4. You could send him this link from Buzzflash
http://www.buzzflash.com/perspectives/911bush.html

Many of the links are to mainstream sources.

9. Send him these links, too
http://www.takebackthemedia.com/owners.html
http://www.takebackthemedia.com/true911.html

and tell him the mainstream media's in on it. Does he realize that Bush's press conferences consists of rehearsed answers to pre-submitted questions? Does he know that NBC is owned by a defense contractor for whom war is good for profits?

7. My husband gets mad when I mention it, too.
Don't worry. My husband is 100% liberal and always votes Democratic.

There are plenty of reasons to vote against Shrub.

10. If you can afford it, send him a copy of Clarke's book
That way he can read it at his leisure and dismissing a book by a guy who served presidents over a 30-yr. period would seem a bit more difficult than dismissing something from the internet.
