Need help with Dean meetup tomorrow.
I volunteered to be a host. There are 10 people meeting in my town and we are meeting at a coffee shop.

How do I let people know where to meetup at the coffee shop (it's big) or if there is another host that's doing the same thing?

Will everybody who RSVP'd usually show up?

1. Here's a start...

Check the FAQ's as well for host suggestions. :-)

3. I'm a first-time host, too!
If you haven't done so already, let your state Dean group know that you're doing this. It's probably too late for them to get the word out now, but for next month they will help you spread the word. Also, as an official host, you'll be sent materials from the national campaign that you can use (like this month they want us to write letters to New Hampshire voters telling them why we like Dean, so they sent letter writing kits; they also send campaign updates, a copy of the sign-in sheet, etc.)

I'd also recommend checking this link out:

Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

:hi:

4. Here's my experience
1. Can you make a sign? Will you be wearing a Dean t-shirt? If you can do either of these things, people will find you. Otherwise, can you tell the host/hostess at the shop where you'll be?

2. You can tell if there are any other hosts by looking at the meetup page. People who volunteered to be hosts will have a blue "h" by their names. Someone at each meetup will need to be the coordinator -- the contact between the meetup and Vermont. I'll PM you the link (it's posted publicly, but there are names and emails). I there is someone listed from your city, contact them and ask how you can help. If no one is listed, contact Vermont and ask them how you can help.

3. No, not everyone shows up. However, people who didn't RSVP do show up. We've always had a few more bodies than RSVPs.
