Gas up here in some cities in Canada just jumped by the equivalent of 28 cents per US gallon. (10 Canadian cents per liter)

That only happens when something's about to happen - that the oil companies already know about.

I'll get my tin(aluminium) foil hat ready.

2. Gas prices jump !
Well I'll tell 'ya - it sure made for some 20 car lineups at those gas stations still at the old price. While I was topping off the tank they changed the sign to the new price.

That's a big jump - even for here.

5. Print and retype:
08:13 a.m. 04/13-2004

Ridgeland, MS, APR 13, 2004 (EventX/Knobias.com via COMTEX)

CIBC World Markets upgraded their Oil And Gas Sector Weighting due due to persistantly higher crude oil prices, which have surpassed fundamentals and are reflecting geopolitical uncertainty, terrorism, and limited surplus refining capacity. The firm thinks that excess productive capacity is only 2.0-2.4 MMbpd relative to world demand of about 80 MMbpd. They believe the disorder in the Middle East could convert this surplus to a shortage, shaping a replay of the late 1970s. (etc)

3. Rather just said Bush is replacing Bremer with NEGROPONTE.
Now we know why we asked Israel to train us some death squads.

The Middle East is not South America. This is not gonna play the same way.

4. Interesting....
...forgive my out-of-country ignorance, but I'm not familiar enough with Negroponte.

What will this replacement mean.....
