Asscroft canÕt recall and explain what he knew and when he knew it.

4. Heh. Reagan
Didnt he come up with the classic CYA quote

"I felt and believed one thing, but the facts were completely the opposite" ?

Its his response to the Iran-Contra scandal

2. good questioning job. Went back to the original question,

3. Well..
Fielding is the odds-on favorite to have been "Deep Throat" during Watergate. If so, he's an honorable man.

5. Oh, you mean verbally
I was hoping you meant that in the literal sense. Verbally is good, too.

I donÕt recall.

Fielding asked him to provide the answers and the paper trail of his briefings during that time.

IÕve got to read that transcript.

6. That was pretty damning
He was going along on the "offensive" in his normal cocky sanctimonious manner initially and then he had to pull the alzheimers number-this really looked bad IMO

I also think they trapped him with some of his comments about how Clinton admin was at fault--I think overnight some document will be unearthed that will make ASSCrack look like an even bigger liar than he does all ready!
