Did Bush read the PDB of August 6th?
I was just watching the Chris Matthews show and the fact was brought out that there's no conformation if Bush actually read the PDB of August 6th at the time he received it.

3. Does Bush Read?

I always thought that someone reads things to him - Condi usually is the one.

4. I bet Condi gives him bullet points
A few bullet points... his attention span isn't up to more than that.

6. * doesn't read

anything. Paul O'neill claims that one of the things * likes about
Kinda Sleezy is that she will read things to him, * doesn't read.

7. my guess -- he read the first page ...
... then turned to his aides and said, "tell me what's in it, no more than 15 seconds or I'm outta here".

8. My explanation for the '11 page vs 1.5 page' distinction is pictures.
Edited on Tue Apr-13-04 12:54 PM by lostnfound
Like in the children's learn-to-read books where they substitute a picture of a chicken for the word 'chicken' etc.

Seems like 'chicken little / the sky is falling' might have been apropos, anyway.

PS Speaking of reading, did you mean confirmation? or 'conformation'?

9. I found it interesting that Bush said it read "Osama bin Laden Determined
.
.
.

To Strike in US."

NOWHERE in that whole PDB is the name "Osama" mentioned.

Seeing as the Bush's had dealings with OTHER bin-Ladens, I find it VERY curious that they were not specific that it was OSAMA who was the bin-Laden of concern.

Bill Maher has a skit about Bush not reading the newspapers.
'REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER'. So why would he read a PDB.
