The real reason for bushes vacation in Crawford
Recall all the pile driving sounds that were heard whenever newsreports were filed from the WH? Was this the sound of the repugs digging in for the Nov election? They must have finished whatever the hell they were doing while the gang was off loafing in Tx. Anyone been in DC recently? Know what was going on?

1. I don't live in the DC area, but recall someone who did complaining
Edited on Tue Apr-13-04 03:09 AM by Dover
that work on Cheney's VP residence (his bunker) was causing all kinds of noise and traffic snarls.

If they're digging in, then you can bet that Congress will be uninformed of pending dangers and left to fry. Cheney and his gang do seem to be preparing for something......

2. I have premonitions of "national emergency" and a cancelled election
Maybe its an irrational fear.. but these guys act like they've got some inside track to staying in the WH. Scary to contemplate.

3. Well, we have all paid dearly for underestimating them before.
Edited on Tue Apr-13-04 03:28 AM by Dover
We are always taken off guard and apalled at just how far they will go. I'm afraid that we have not learned this lesson of the "new normal" that Cheney coined. I don't think it will be a normal election.....and because their cause and their polls are sinking fast I expect that their desperation makes them more dangerous.

We should all at least contemplate how we'd respond if they did something really radical and perhaps deadly, rather than just complacently assume that things will be predictable and like any other election. It sounds like madness, but they ARE mad.

11. Yes it is hard to envision
a successful transition FROM their reign, isn't it? That would leave too much exposed.

I alternate between thinking (hoping) they will be their own undoing and utter despair.

4. Heck, the Bush's infamous history goes back 3 generations -
.

.

I for the life of me don't know how the FIRST Bush got elected.

Well, yes I do.

MONEY.

“Bush - Nazi Dealings Continued Until 1951” - Federal Documents

By John Buchanan and Stacey Michael
from The New Hampshire Gazette Vol. 248, No. 3, November 7, 2003

"After the seizures in late 1942 of five U.S. enterprises he managed on behalf of Nazi industrialist Fritz Thyssen, Prescott Bush, the grandfather of President George W. Bush, failed to divest himself of more than a dozen "enemy national" relationships that continued until as late as 1951, newly-discovered U.S. government documents reveal.

Furthermore, the records show that Bush and his colleagues routinely attempted to conceal their activities from government investigators."

Concealing their activities from government investigators is nothing new to this family.

6. Maybe scientists can isolate the 'war profiteering gene'
I for one am prepared to 'sacrifice' the prez to medical research. Where's Dr. Mengele when you need him?

5. Sorry, I have to say it.
Satanic. Period. Most evil bunch of people I've ever run in to in my history. Or in the history of our modern world. Sorry. Sorry, once again.

7. But still, as spelled out in this article from the Independent, people are
unwilling to think the unthinkable, even after everything we've already seen from these criminals. It's a very difficult line to cross in one's mind....to see such darkness in broad daylight!

10. Agree 100% - this is not a nice place to be forced to go.
Thank god for the internet at this moment in time. Without it "we" would be "toast". We don't have a lot of time left to make a difference. Thanks for being there.

12. the reason he goes to Crawford so much is because no records
are kept there. Remember during the testimony of Rice, someone hinted that there are "recordings" of meetings.

If a guy is invited to dinner with the famous cowboy and his fromp, why that is not a meeting--it is a social event--no recordings and anything can be denied or even invented.

And, more often than not, it is someone from the middle east.
