Instead of letting other govt officials know the seriousness of the situation, Bush let his penchant for secrecy interfere with telling people what they needed to know to address the threat from Al Quaeda before September 11, 2001.

Presumably this will be reported elsewhere too, in more detail. This tidbit really woke me up too. But we definitely need more details--as in who got the alternate PBD and why. OR, could they be trying to make people think that maybe Condi didn't lie, because she only saw the 8-7 version? But no, the title would've had to change too...
