A thought on Janet Jackson and Condi Rice from SNL
Heard a rightwing radio host taking about the Janet Jackson Condi Rice SNL spoof......said he thought it was funny... even if she called Cheney "Mr. President" by mistake...

I wasn't really surprised that no one told him it wasn't a mistake...

On the topic of Janet Jackson, she may have been occupying a low level spot on the rightwing hitlist for a long while...

At the DNC's "Every Vote Counts" concert in Washington, D.C., several years ago, Jackson introduced Bill Clinton as one of the country's most brilliant, effective and sexiest leaders.

6. "I've been soaking cork for many years!"
Seriously, that skit was probably the funniest SNL skit EVER! I liked how Janet kept saying something like "sorking cork" and messing up her lines--and trying to hold back her laughter. She definitely made the skit greater to watch.

8. It was hilarious.
I think the reason they did it was to challenge the new media censorship frenzy. I remember another skit on SNL a loooooong time ago where they kept saying penis as an answer to words that are and are NOT allowed to be spoken on television. I love SNL.

And I have a new appreciation for Ms. Janet. I bought one of her CDs today in light of Saturday night's performance.
