You guys ready for this? ... Set your VCR's
Edited on Mon Apr-12-04 07:45 PM by newsguyatl
Craig Unger, author of House of Bush, House of Saud will be on CNN Daybreak tomorrow morning at 6:30a!

He'll be discussing who authorized the evacuation of Saudi nationals in the days following the attacks...

Besides the Boston Globe write up the other day, this is the first instance, that I know of, where this issue will get mainstream media attention.

So set your alarms... or set your VCR's.

This could be explosive folks.

on edit: Mike Malloy will appear a few minutes after him... what MORE could you POSSIBLY ask for???

1. Let's hope it's explosive.
I think Bush Sr. told Bush Jr. to authorize their evacuation.

2. Thanks for the heads up!!
I'll try to ensure that I see it. I usually watch BBC America, then local to catch the weather and Washington Journal at 7. A post-it on the tv should do it.

21. Unger & Malloy both??!! Almost a Trifecta!
I, as a self proclaimed member of the Christian LEFT, do believe my prayers are being answered!

I agree, this has to grow big, strong, & long legs..It needs to REMAIN at the top of the heap of Bush's sins on America.

What's he doing kissing the Saudi's ass when their countrymen just murdered thousands of Americans?

That little prick Bush, as well as his DAD and Condi, Rummy, Rove etc should be dragged before a GJury. Court of public opinion will demand it as more info FINALLY gets out to the masses.

What other dirty secret deals has the Bush family made to the BinLaden family? How else have they sold the United States down the river?

Bush needed the Office of the Presidency for the powers it afforded him in his dirty wheeling & dealing with the Saudis. Military, funds, & protection. The election was a set up, and the motive was Saudi/Bush dominance over Middle East Oil.
They are oilmen first. That's all they have ever been. Political positioning was a method to their madness.

They are freaks. Censure Bush, strip the little prick of his powers.

May the third part of our Trifecta be Bush in shackels.

(WEATHER BREAK)

COSTELLO: We know the 9/11 Commission will zero in on that now- famous declassified memo. But will it address the Saudi question? That's what "Boston Globe" reporter Craig Unger is wondering this morning. He says he's turned up evidence that at least 140 Saudis were flown out of the United States two days after 9/11 at a time when airplanes were grounded by government order. If that's true, why? And did the president allow it?

Craig Unger is joining us live from New York.

And, Craig, you call this the single-most egregious security lapse related to the attacks. How so?

CRAIG UNGER, "THE BOSTON GLOBE": Well, it's quite possible. Remember, this is after September 11. Reasonable people can argue about how much terrorism should have been on the president's radar screen beforehand. But immediately afterwards, it appears that the White House authorized the departure of I found a total of eight airplanes stopping in 12 American cities, taking 140 passengers, most of them Saudis, many members of the royal family, 24 members of the bin Laden family among them. And there was a potential treasure trove of intelligence here.

We know that 15 out of 19 of the hijackers were Saudis. We know that the Saudis played a big role in financing terrorism. Why were these people not questioned?

COSTELLO: Well...

31. Is it really true the WH is denying those flights took place?
I watch the Craig interview this morning and the interviewer kept saying the WH and FBI keep absolutely denying these flights happened.

I know I heard the 911 commission ask Clarke about it. He didn't say they didn't happen but that he didn't know who gave final approval.
