Do evil & greed alter our faces?
In "The Picture of Dorian Gray" Gray made a deal where his face would be preserved in its youthful innocence, and his sins would instead show up in his portrait, which gradually became more hideous & deformed as he killed, womanized and committed other sins.

Basically, I think, his conscience was kept in this painting, instead of in his mind/soul.

Do you think that you can really see greed, evil, etc in the faces of those whose lives are devoted to lying and creating more suffering and injustice in the world?

Emotions obviously alter our faces. Do intentions, as well?

1. People with any remains of a conscience might show effects. Others
will look as cool as a cucumber while doing unspeakable things to humanity.

2. Their coolness is itself inhuman
manifesting itself as a lack of connection with others and self-centeredness

3. One need only look for a split second at Dick Cheney
To get an answer to this question.

5. Yes --
And same for just about every criminal in the WH & Pentagon right now --

It seems so obvious, that I wonder if we just have a biased gaze,
or if we really are seeing evil manifest in physiognomy.

10. Why do I find this photograph so
incredibly horrifying? I mean it's just a photo, but it really, really gives me the creeps. When I see shrub, I react with hatred and disgust, but poppy really looks like some otherworldy ghoul to me.

11. Agreed.
Really scary, undeniably so.

Like some pictures I have seen of Wolfowitz and Rumsfeld.

12. He looks completely insane.
The other thing those evil bastards all have in common is their eyes. Their black, soulless eyes. :scared:

9. How about Linda Tripp?
After all that plastic surgery (paid for by a rightwing sugar daddy, no doubt), it only took a minute or so after the bandages to come off to see that same evil personality oozing out.

13. Yes
And explains why innocents are such easy marks. Internal conflict shows in peoples expressions, except perhaps for a few genuine sociopaths. Those are usually promoted to CEO.
