I was thinking about this issue this morning and if we had focused our attention on terrorism and Bin Laden ...we may have caught him by now...

Perhaps without an Iraq war we might have been able to come up with a coherent policy to deal with the emergence of terrorism in impoverished nations by helping them before they are overrun by religious zealots....

Perhaps we could have come up with an energy policy that would help reduce our dependence on oil...
...more tax cuts for hybrid vehicles
...tax cuts for solar power
....etc...

But now our nation is watching on in horror as this "cake walk" in Iraq is taking a turn for the worse...

yeah Saddam would have still been in power but if the Iraqis wanted to be free of him...they could have used all the ordinance they are throwing at our soldiers on him....

1. My friend works in the media,
and he says that the feel in the industry seems to be that the U.S already has Bin Laden and is only waiting for the right moment to release the information.

2. If not Iraq, it would have been Syria or Iran
The thugs in the WH were drooling with bloodlust for a good old fashioned ass kicking, and were (and still are) ready to use the hopelessly vague 'war on terror' to justify it.

The question needs to be: "How would things be if the rightly elected President had not been pushed out of office by a coup?"
