A little Easter Sunday shrub story
I belong to a large, extended family, particularly on my husband's side. He and his people are very much born-again Christians, very devout, and yesterday at dinner the conversation turned to Bush, and the propensity of some ministers to say congregation members should vote for him if they are good Christians. (Our church, which is A.M.E. Zion, has rather the opposite idea and instead suggests members pray for him and this entire misguided government).

Anyway, the following story was told from one of my in-laws work place --

At the office, this woman left her cell phone on her desk. It started ringing but she had stepped away from her desk. A co-worker picked it up. After he took a message, he turned and said, "Hey, I think we should call Bush."

"Aw, you don't have the president's number," the co-workers said.

"Yes I do."

"No you don't."

"Yes I do."

So he dialed it: "666"

1. That would be Cheney's number
Shrub's would be "E".

3. Irrational Number
In mathematics, e is an irrational number.

4. LOL.
I admit, I didn't get it either. But that would be about right.

7. Now there's a thought.
"Pi. I bet he likes pie ;-)"

Heh!

I'm not a mathematician but if I ever discover an irrational number of any importance, I shall name it the 'pretzel' :-)

I can see it now, school children the world over will be chanting the mantra: the volume of the one dimensional shape, the bushtagon is "one pretzel squared, divided by two".

I don't know what the value of the 'pretzel' will be but I predict that it'll be approximately zero.

Sigh. It's been a long day...

6. Wow...
...I'm smarter than I thought.

I was putting in a letter to show that Shrub is so stupid that his number is a letter.
