RPG the Great Equalizer.
I'm a believer that guns make people equal. Even a weak person can kill a strong person if they have a gun.

So for nations, are RPGs equalizers?

I wonder if Russia will be cranking out more of these for export in the near future.

1. Not sure, but...
I happen to believe in the right of people to keep and bear arms. If this administration does not make you realize how important it is to be armed to protect yourself against the government -- I don't know what will.

4. Amen, bro
Hypothetical question, but one that may materialize. It is probably best to answer carefully and discretely if at all, given this site is almost certainly monitored.

But ... what does an American (especially one who once took the oath to "uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America") do in the event the election is called off, over turned, or simply ripped off as it was in 2000? The stakes are higher, now.

I have not come to an answer. I am pondering. In the meantime I keep my weapons and my tools well oiled and ready. But I do that anyway.

5. The TV Camera...
We wouldn't know an RPG if we didn't see it...or the rest of the world either.

The whole world truely is watching.

BTW...I was very pro-gun control...and still feel those who want to own a gun should show their ability to operate it properly...but let's leave that for another discussion...but agree that this regime proves that one must be armed and prepared against one's own government.

7. Same could be said about guns or RPGs
While nukes are expensive to develop and maintian, once you have them, the rest of the world actually has to take you seriously for once. Iraq was invaded not because it had weapons of mass destruction, but because it didn't.

9. Not really.
I cant really think of any nation that cant afford guns or RPGs.

I stick by my claim that nukes really arent much of an equalizer since not many can afford them.

However they are definately the ultimate deterent.

10. For other nation, yes, I see your point
Edited on Mon Apr-12-04 02:38 AM by robg
A scenario too horrible to imagine. But what happens if the Constitution is overthrown? We (common people) do not have nukes, nor could we use them on our own land. What are we to do, then? How shall we resist? Will we resist?

Bush has done nothing but increase the motivation of other nations to develop WMD ... interesting point ... accordingly to recent polls, the people of Russia now want to be a super-power again, to oppose emerging American aggression and balance American power.

We are creating our own nightmare.

11. If our government is overthrown?
Their is no equalizer except another government. That means we steal as much Military equipment as possible, then call for help from another nation, they can either smuggle weapons in for us, or invade on our behalf. All those hunting rifles and shotguns, plus the pistols, mean jack shit to the government. They can come at us with tanks, hummers with SAWs, etc. Yes RPGs would be an equalizer in that case, but its not like you could buy one at a gun shop around town.
