The 9/11 commission, which Condeleezza Rice went before last week, is so desperate to hear President George W. Bush's version of events leading up to that terrible day that it has agreed to three of the president's conditions.
President Bush has said he's happy to appear before the commission, provided a) the session is behind closed doors, b) that Vice-President Dick Cheney appears with him and c) that neither of them be under oath.

*That he and Cheney be allowed to wear false noses and glasses while testifying.
*That whatever side of him Cheney isn't sitting on, his mother Barbara be allowed to sit on the other.
*That the president and vice-president be allowed to answer all questions while crossing their fingers.
*That if the president gets a really tough question, he be allowed to use one of three lifelines. He can call a friend, other than Cheney, do a 50/50 and have two of four possible answers taken away, or be allowed to poll 1,000 typical Americans from heavily Republican states.
