DU is absolutely the easiest place to stir up. Those guys are like bees. You shoulda seen what I did to them during the primaries. It was great.
Once you have the star and the 1000+ posts.. you are good to go. You can post anything you want. You can get a star by donating a dollar or two.

Even 400 posts or so.. start making NewYawkers lists.. and you know your in.
They love me there... they dont know how much I truely despise them. I hate them all.

But the point is.. once youre a star with a 1000+ posts.. you can be pro life, pro iraq war, pro any GOP platform and get them rats going and never get tombstoned. Your a dedicated DU'er! Pro Gun is absolutely acceptable once they dont suspect you.

This board, I think will be my alternate home to DU. I'm glad I learned about you (on DU)

MY TIPS FOR POSTING

#1 - dont show up a newbie and post some GOP thing.. they will spot you in a second... just post nonsense, pretend to be a die hard dean or keebler elf kucinich supporter who just cant stand "conservative" kerry .. and get your count and record set.

#2 Stay away from the Christian Bashing until you are established. I know thats hard since DU is so disgusting.

#3 A good way to get up your count is hang out in the lounge and do their movie things, sports stuff, whatever... all the nonsense that goes on there. The goal is to get your numbers up... posts some LOL's on stuff... they think you are laughing with them, and you are really laughing at them.

#4 If you venture into GD or GD 2004 ... fake it for awhile.. then you can hammer them.

Remember, Kerry is a slime. True libs don't even like him. He is an easy target.. you can bash him for NCLB, Iraq War, stuff like that.. and stir em up and stay within the rules of "leftistness". '

#5 Absolutely no gay bashing. You can do some later, but if you show up and start bashing gays... well this forum is by and for gays, and you will get a little "He disrupted poorly" by your name.

#6 Lie your ass off at times

#7 Skinner is an idiot and easy to trick... but stay off his radar, or you will get TS'd. But he's easy to zap back.. notify fox he is using their copyrighted stuff, notify polls they are getting DU'd, etc.

#8 Learn their lingo - don't use terms like "tin hats", remember to capitalize "Democrat" (I know its hard), call the GOP repukes, repugs, etc... always put the * By Bush's name. Doesnt hurt and makes em all warm and wet.

#9 If you make a post like "My Dad emailed me this", "What are we going to do when the GOP exposes this" "What will we say about this" or some other sneaky way of putting out a GOP issue out, be very careful. They are well aware of this tactic.

I come here for the news (often non-US corporate, so I get a more complete idea of what's going on in the world), to find out about local and National Dem activism, to share information about progressive issues, and to find fun stuff in the lounge to share with my many non-DU friends who are often in need of a laugh (SoCalDem alone finds all sorts of gems!)and I've even made some friends that I've spent time with in the "real" world. I made note of a few of our "molemen" during the primaries--mostly the guys behind the Lieberman prank. A couple are still around and are back in "acting straight" mode. I don't find them all that disturbing, if only because I've gotten better about ignoring idiot comments. The undercover freepers generally only get the hardcore lefties upset. But spotting them still is part of the fun at DU.

I've even been accused of being an undercover Republican because I'm not as liberal as the average DUer. But I suspect now that the person who did the accusation might well have been a Freep himself doing more to disrupt the board. In the long run, such people are mostly harmless.

So there's a group of people that think they can come over and disrupt. So?
1)the moran is talking about posting 1000+ posts that don't stick out. If that's the case, he's reinforcing OUR SIDE when he's doing it. Thank you! Feel free to keep it up as long as you want. To use nerd terminology, the is the equivalent in D&D of attacking a fire elemental with a fireball.
2)the minute he starts disrupring, there's a ton of people that will happily alert on him. Boom. He's a small insignificant tombstone. 1000 posts positive, 5 or 6 negative...it balances.
3)you don't, anyone, actually think he's going to change anyone's opinion, or make people run off, or quit DU, or whatever, do you?
So, with 1, 2, and 3, he's actively helping us until he decides to leave. So?
I have to wonder if this guy styles himself after South Park's Professor Chaos.
So long as we don't get to the point where we are alerting on each other all the time for no reason (and I don't see it happenning) this guy's idea of "disrupting" is kind of like disrupting a public address by moving one of the chairs in the audience outside.

Disruptors need at least a straw to grasp at. They don't really have one these days. So all that's gonna happen if they try disrupting now, is they're gonna have to say something outrageously stupid, and they'll be exposed as disruptors, so we'll put them on ignore despite that "1000+" next to their name.

What a tired, boring existence a troll mole must have. Can you imagine patiently posting 1000+ politically correct thoughts such as "I support equal rights for women and minorities" and "I support a clean environment" just for the privilege of being able to go and blow your cover by finally posting what you're longing to say: "George Bush has a great strategy for fighting terrorism!" or "George Bush isn't bankrupting our children!" or "George Bush isn't destroying our economy!" or "George Bush wasn't forewarned about 9/11!"

My advice to the troll moles - go out and have a beer and try to get laid or something. Stop wasting your time pining away for the privilege of being able to shout out to the world "I don't want a President who protects my job or my country!"

Yep...some of us found them right after they opened up and have been "charter" members. It's been fun to see how consumed they are about this place and how easy it is to "make a friend" by pretending your enemy is theirs. Typical right wing mush.

So, CU "moderators" besides knowing your IP, the ISP that your server is connected to, the php script you use for your message board (which has been cracked as well)...you better check those posts and IPs closely...you never know when or who may spoil your party. Oh, BTW...forget about the IP thing since it's nice to have various gateways (Shaduka is a wonder) that puts different IPs on each post. Ooops.
