Poll question: What are your predictions for the Iraq war. (long term)
Give what you expect to happen. not what you hope will happen.

1. I don't see any combination of events that leads to a peaceful...
...and democratic Iraq.

2. We settle for a Iran type friendly government..

Bush pretends this is a victory, the right wingers all call Bush the new Churchhill...we keep our bases there for "the good of the Iraqi people"...takes about 3 years to achieve this "victory"...but only after we hand over power to people this June, who all end up getting killed one by one....

Basically just a huge money pit and a few soldiers killed daily for the next few years...

3. We will be there forever
I think one of the big reasons bush was so anxious to invade Iraq was to establish a permanent military base there.

4. We won't pull out soon.
Even though we should. They've got oil, and we're hooked.

So, ask yourself - would a crack addict leave a supply of the stuff? I think not.

7. But there's widespread chaos now!
Then the US pulls out, widespread chaos turns into absolute bedlam.
