Bush AWOL once again..........
He was AWOL from his Guard duty in Alabama. He was AWOL when the planes hit the WTC and he is AWOL once again today.

As the siege and blood-letting continues in Falluja, where is our esteemed leader? He is down in Texas making a commercial for a campaign ad. Photos were shown yesterday of him holding up a fish and taking pictures with the NRA for campaign commercial. Just how appropriate is this type of behavior?

For those that say he gives the orders and expects his generals to carry them out, one must ask: Then why does he order them to deepshit places and then skip out of town? Does he have an responsibility for what happens after he gives the orders? I see AWOL again.

On March 20, an international day of action against the war in Iraq, John Kerry was on vacation skiing and made no statement.

No, I'm not a Freeper. Yes, I'm voting for Kerry. I just don't like it when he acts like Bush.

6. 25th Amendment to the Constitution?
"Whenever the President transmits to the president pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to dischare the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as acting President." - United States Constitution, Amendment 25, Section 3

Random thought here and I could be waaaaaay off, but....could this have happened? In secret? Could that explain why Cheney is out 'working' and the shrub is making a commercial right now?

I'm sorry, it's just that the behavior of * right now makes NO SENSE. So I started wondering what 'would make some sense' to explain the behavior that we are seeing by the 'cabal'. This is what I came up with, but

not much sanity surfaces under the current line of succession ... Ted Stevens ... I've never believed Colin Powell was the PR image created; he's in bed with the BFEE ... I'm not totally convinced he was actually born in the US ... and, after him, is John 'outsourcing good' Snow ... Rumsfeld, you bet ... Crisco Oil Ashcroft ...

Skittes is right: they don't care

I heard an American good ol'corporate boy say it back c. 1996, when the Founding Principles were invoked in the work environment: "Who cares?!?" was the reply. It's their greed, and the power needed to satisfy it.

11. Well, they DO care....everybody 'cares' about something....
Edited on Sun Apr-11-04 12:13 AM by DustMolecule
What is painfully obvious now is that this cabal does not 'care' about the thing THAT THEY HAVE SWORN TO CARE ABOUT! Which would be (seemingly) the Constitution of the United States. They PUBLICLY swore to uphold it - agains all enemies foreign and domestic. The evidence/their behavior strongly suggests that there is 'something else' that they have given their allegiance to.

15. * is simply not the one in charge.
Every time something significant happens, he's shooed out of the WH to get him out of the way.

16. That was exactly my point with Post 6

This is not government the way it's laid out in the Constitution. How long are people gonna turn a blind eye to this nonsense? What the heck is going on here?!?!

in something as dry as the Constitution. After all, that American Idol might just marry the millionaire bachelorette!

Isn't that a bit more exciting?

12. The Photo Op Kid Rides Again
Dressed in sports gear, smiling ear to ear, the Prez goes fishing for a commercial.

He is having fun doing it too.

His troops are fighting for their very lives and bodies while the dude goes fishin. How disgustingly sick.

14. No shit
Really responsible leaders.

I swear, I will totally lose faith in all Americans if they let this guy in for 4 more years.

And don't blame BBV - he shouldn't even be close enough to contemplate stealing this election.

19. One time on Faux News channel, I saw the funniest unintentional bit of
Almost art...

They were (naturally) showing a Bush/Cheney fundraiser, and Cheney was speaking to his standard $1,000 a plate audience. This was when the violence in Fallujah was starting up, a few weeks ago...

They went live to shots of the voilence and the aftermath, but they didn't want to stop covering Cheney's speech (nothing like free advertisments for the Rethugs).

So, anyway, they split the screen, down the middle.

One one half, you see carnage, wreckage, smoke, fires, people running around trying to make sense of what had happened, etc.

And on the other half you see Cheney dressed in a suit, speaking to people who may have actually benifitted from the tax cuts, and laughing his ass off.

It was so appropriate.

It didn't last more than maybe six or seven minutes, because Faux stopped showing the violence and cut back to full screen of Cheney. I guess they realized what they were doing...

It would make a great ad for the Dems...
