1. Cheney will still be there Sunday
when the hostages are smoked or get a reprieve. If they get roasted, he may well get a taste of how unglued common Japanese folk can become in the face of such horror and injustice.

2. Now that you mention it, IF the japanese hostage are going to be killed,
the time to do it *would* be while cheney is in Japan. In order to mire the US a bit more in the eyes of the Japanese people. Uh oh. A big uh oh.

5. Radio Japan last night...airing report on how people are in the streets
collecting signatures to petition the gov to pull out their personnel from Iraq....The common man is very upset.....and a political group is demanding that Japan returns to its constitution which bars military action.....

I posted several articls in the WMW as the lawmakers were abridging the constitution to get the SDI forces into Iraq........

6. Passed by them today.
Up on a central pedestrian bridge in uptown Osaka. They were organized in a way I haven't seen even during the run-up to the Iraq invasion. Canvasing the entire area and people were genuinely concerned this time.
