This week:

Mohamad Bazzi is Middle East bureau chief for Newsday and recently won the James Aronson Award for Social Justice Journalism. Mohamad's most recent story is entitled, "Al-Sadr's revolt pressures clerics" (http://www.newsday.com/news/printedition/world/ny-woshia093747877apr09,0,3137828.story?coll=ny-worldnews-print).

Bill Christison returns to This is Hell. Bill joined the CIA in 1950 and worked on the analysis side of the Agency for over 28 years. In the 1970s he served as a National Intelligence Officer for for Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Africa, which is a principal adviser of the Director of Central Intelligence. Before his retirement in 1979, he was Director of the CIA's Office of Regional and Political Analysis, a 250-person unit. Bill's most recent article is entitled "9/11 Commission is Bush's New Lapdog: It Refuses to Even Question US Policies that Encourage Terrorism."
