I think Washington Week is the worst show EVER
Gwen Ifill is drugged out or just a flake or both.

I rememebr this winter when one of her lousy panelists asked re: BushCo, "What happened to the WMD?"

The bearded IDIOT from latimes said, "Boy, you have a long memory!"

AND THEY ALL LAUGHED.

THEY ALL LAUGHED. Then they moved on and NEVER ANSWERED THE QUESTION.

i've never watched that garbage since.

PBS, once Moyers leaves, you are worthless.

1. I totally agree. I remember when the flap over the "fruitcake"
argument in the House that marked the beginning of the growth of Democratic reps backbone against the repug arrogance, after mentioning what happened she smirked and said "what are they thinking? what are they thinking?" And everybody laughed heartily. I just couldn't believe it.

2. onmygawd, i do remember that
Ifill is insanely stoopid. her and Jimmy Leher must drink from the same watercooler, because their eyes are DREAMY.

I think Gwen believes in Santa.

3. I haven't watched since Gwen Ifill took over
The were way too anti-Clinton for me during the impeachment mess. I got the feeling they are all republicans. And that Gloria Borger...what a creep.

5. I gave money for the Moyer show. When he is gone, I don't see any
reason that the American Public should support a repug and corporate shill organization.

7. yes yes yes, yes yes, yes yes!
I went OFF on those ASSSSSSSHOLES last night!!

they just FAWNED all over Condi, as if she were some sort of unassailable entity

they actually PRAISED her performance, both during the hearings, and when she oh so gracefully put them off during prior "interviews"

they were WORSE than the Foxshills!

I will NEVER, EVER watch that tripe again

I turned it off during mid-Condi groupgasm

10. I agree, with one exception
last night they had Barbara Slavin from USA Today, and she is excellent. She has been on before, and her being there changes everything, at least when they're talking about Iraq.

13. She is a classy person...
I was on my feet rooting for her on Friday; "B**** slap 'em, Barbara!" She did, too, but not in a crude way.

This is the WORSE show, that's why I watch it. After commesurating on the Iraqui insurrection, gwen directed the discussion away from the topic by "(siiigh...), I guess this will be in the news for a few weeks."

I think this show is a caricature of how the clueless herd the sheep. The emphasis (they spend a lot of time talking about polls...this is how they distil issues) and direction of the show is instructive in itself.

14. Ifill revealed her insider status re: Rice.

"She was furious."

I can't stand Gwen's smirk. And she makes nasty, dismissive asides about anything Democrat. :puke:

17. I think gwen and condi are lovers (not that there is any thing wrong):)
Not that there is anything wrong if they were "good friends" except that two pukier people would be hard to find... thus a paticulairly sickening mental image to ponder!
I read on DU (few years back?) how they are very close friends, spend times at each others houses cooking gormet meals etc.
That show sucks. Gwen and condi, irregardless of race or gender are known to us all as children in churchs and schools. They
are the Sydney from tom sawyer hehe. The perfectly coiffed children, with perfectly clean clothes who rat out anyone to their Mama's who is just trying to have a little bit of fun. They grow up and turn into RW and Fundie douchebags.

Turn off TV and dont look back.

18. That's entirely accurate
well, maybe not the part about them being lovers, but....

They are great social Friends and they have dinner together quite frequently. It's oh so charming when the reporters and their subjects get together for tea, don't you agree? I'm sure Ms. Ifill would not be ever-so-happy to have a guest on her program who dislikes the guests in her dining room. It would be uncultured and unmannerly.

16. When Bush* got selected Ifill smirked.
She huffily stated on air that those who protested her saying Bush* was elected should get used to it. Too bad. I've never watched the show again and I used to be a regular.
