Poll question: Which school of thought are you in Re: Iraq?
John Pilger: The US must lose in Iraq in order to learn a lesson to declaw its imperialistic monster.

Dennis Kucinich: Pull the troops out, hope to bring the UN in.

John Kerry: America must win in Iraq, but it must be done the right way.

Which school of thought are YOU in?

2. It's hard to judge Kerry against these two since he speaks 'campaignese'
Neither Dennis nor Pilger needs to have have any compunction about saying what they believe. Kerry is playing to the center right now, and it's going to be a bumpy ride on DU for that reason. :D

3. Good point,
but all the more reason for Dennis to stay in the race until the Convention, to keep Kerry honest.

4. The difference between Kerry and Kucinich
Edited on Sat Apr-10-04 12:29 AM by Taverner
Kerry: Stay the course, but work towards an exit strategy. Bring the UN in. Stay involved in the rebuilding.

Kucinich: Get out, get the UN in ASAP. Pay for the rebuild, but do not participate in decisionmaking.

5. We have to stay and win...
And we should do it with the help of the UN. Quitting is not an option yet.

7. I know it's cheating, but I think it's worth it.
I have OCR'ed the text of the latest Vanity Fair article. It's outstanding.

13. I support
Kucinich's position. Bring them home, get the U.N. in! And since the Bushies squandered it, we then need to work hard on getting back the respect of the world. I think that getting out would be a start in that direction.

14. You have it backwards
Kucinich proposes getting the UN in first, then withdrawing.

12. Prerequisite
If only those so desperately in need of re-ordering are able to divine the degree of compassion
We Western White Men have so generously lavished on our own indigenous peoples; it is only then that will they clamor to be blessed with occupation.
