We need a simple, lasting, mass observance

The cat's out of the bag now. What many on the web have known for months, the whole country now knows.

The country is finally waking up - to feelings of anger and grief and horror at what happened and why.

Some people are proposing a march on Washington demanding impeachment. This may be problematic to organize and finance and televise. But the American people are are feeling something very strong right now - and we should find a way to express it publicly - and locally - and massively.

How about something simple and non-partisan and symbolic? Something like the yellow ribbons or the little patriotic flags.

Maybe just a black ribbon and a white ribbon - of mourning and hope - compassion for what happened, and resolve to never let it happen again.

Any suggestions?

3. I do like the black but worry it would be too negative

I was thinking black to say what Clarke said - "I am sorry" - and white to move on.

Or just any color ribbon saying in our diversity we all are one in condemning what our government did / didn't do and vowing it will never happen again.
