Under Oath: The perjury of Condoleeza Rice
Edited on Fri Apr-09-04 01:17 PM by TruthIsAll
She was under oath. Nothing about sex, though.

Only lies which led to 3,000 deaths on 9/11 and thousands more since.

Is impeachment only applicable if one is caught with a semen-stained garment?

Claim vs. Fact: Rice's Q&A Testimony Before the 9/11 Commission

Planes as Weapons
CLAIM: "I do not remember any reports to us, a kind of strategic warning, that planes might be used as weapons."

FACT: Condoleezza Rice was the top National Security official with President Bush at the July 2001 G-8 summit in Genoa. There, "U.S. officials were warned that Islamic terrorists might attempt to crash an airliner" into the summit, prompting officials to "close the airspace over Genoa and station antiaircraft guns at the city's airport."

CLAIM: "I was certainly not aware of at the time that I spoke" in 2002.

FACT: While Rice may not have been aware of the 12 separate and explicit warnings about terrorists using planes as weapons when she made her denial in 2002, she did know about them when she wrote her March 22, 2004 Washington Post op-ed. In that piece, she once again repeated the claim there was no indication "that terrorists were preparing to attack the homeland using airplanes as missiles."

1. Yup, Stone walling to the last lie.
So eloquently too, but still lies and denial. Those guys so good at it they themselves believe it. Delusional rationalization?

4. I did not watch the live presentation
Of the Condi appearance, but later watched tape. I am still astounded that she actually lied and no one but Democrats called her on it. She pointed a lot of fingers and absolutely took no responsibility for any action or nonaction on her part. If this Commission comes out a white-wash for this administration most of them are traitors. We protect our country--not the misadministration in control now. Never have I seen before what is happening to this country.

5. It is pathic that their interests COMES FIRST...not that of whats RIGHT
and best for the Nation. They will stonewall, deflect, distract, and plead innocent until CAUGHT with the truth.

Amazing and Sad

2. Aren't these the people who take perjury so very seriously?
If perjury about sex is impeachable, should Dr. Rice resign or be fired if she perjured herself about national security?

Maybe we need an independent counsel to investigate. The person appointed should have close ties to the ACLU, the AFL-CIO and the ADA with a long track record of campaign contributions to Democrats. He or she should have an unlimited budget and staff as well as the authority to investigate Dr. Rice's record all the way back to grade school, and the power to investigate her sex life (the details of which will be posted on the Internet by a vote of Congress). Only then can we get to the bottom of these serious allegations.

6. Here are the questions that "have arisen" but have not been asked
Edited on Fri Apr-09-04 05:21 PM by RapidCreek
QUESTION: MS. RICE, ARE YOU THE NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER?

QUESTION: MS. RICE, IS IT NOT YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ADVISE THE PRESIDENT ON ISSUES AFFECTING US NATIONAL SECURITY?

QUESTION: MS. RICE, I CAN'T HELP BUT NOTICE THE GRIN ON YOUR FACE. PLEASE SHARE WITH US AND THE PEOPLE SITTING BEHIND YOU, THE FAMILIES OF THOSE MURDERED BY TERRORISTS ON 9/11, WHAT EXACTLY IT IS YOU FIND SO COMICAL ABOUT THESE PROCEEDINGS.

QUESTION: MS. RICE, WERE THE ATTACKS OF 9/11 NOT THE MOST GRIEVOUS BREACH OF SECURITY OUR NATION HAS EVER SUFFERED?

QUESTION: MS. RICE, WOULD YOU AGREE THAT AN EFFECTIVE NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER MUST BE AWARE TO EXECUTE THEIR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES?

QUESTION: MS. RICE, YOU ARE A WELL EDUCATED WOMAN. YOU HOLD A DOCTORATE, SPEAK SEVERAL LANGUAGES, ARE A FAIRLY ACCOMPLISHED PIANIST AND ARE, FROM WHAT I HEAR, A FAIRLY ACCOMPLISHED ICE SKATER, AS WELL. WOULD IT BE FAIR TO SAY THAT YOUR EXPERTISE IN THESE AREAS IS FOUNDED UPON A MODICUM OF INTEREST IN AND DESIRE TO, INFORM YOURSELF ON THE FINER POINTS OF EACH?

QUESTION: MS. RICE, WOULD IT BE FAIR TO SAY THAT ONE CANNOT BE AN EXPERT IN ANY FIELD IF THEY LACK AWARENESS OF, OR THE DESIRE TO, ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE OF THE SPECIFICS GENERALLY THOUGHT TO BE FUNCTIONALLY AND QUALITATIVELY INDICATIVE OF AN EXPERT IN THAT FIELD?

QUESTION: MS. RICE, YOU HAVE STATED THAT YOU, OUR NATIONS SECURTIY ADVISER, WERE UNAWARE OF CONSISTENT WARNINGS CONCERNING TERRORIST USE OF AIR PLANES AS WEAPONS. TERRORISTS USED AIR PLANES AS WEAPONS ON 9/11 AND BREACHED OUR NATIONAL SECURITY...THIS BREACH RESULTED IN AN EFFECTIVELY EXECUTED MURDER OF THREE THOUSAND AMERICAN CITIZENS, CITIZENS I FEEL COMPELLED TO POINT OUT, WHO ARE YOUR EMPLOYERS AND PAY YOUR SALARY. WOULD IT NOT MAKE SENSE THEN, TO AFFIRM THAT YOU'RE LACK OF AWARENESS PREVENTED YOU FROM JUDICIOUSLY ADVISING THE PRESIDENT TO TAKE STEPS TO PROTECT YOUR EMPLOYERS FROM JUST SUCH A BREACH? IN OTHER WORDS, MS. RICE WOULD IT NOT BE FAIR TO SAY THAT YOUR ARE NOT AN EXPERT IN THE FIELD OF GIVING ADVICE CONCERNING THE PROTECTION OF OUR NATIONS SECURITY...AND THAT LACK OF EXPERTISE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR DEMONSTRABLE FAILURE TO EXECUTE YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES?

If questions, like those above were asked....it would make no difference what she answered. One has to wonder why none of the members of the Kangaroo Commission took such an approach.

7. Better questions
QUESTION: MS. RICE, IS IT NOT YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ADVISE THE PRESIDENT ON ISSUES AFFECTING US NATIONAL SECURITY?

Better question:

Dr. Rice, now that you have given us a strong history lesson, would you mind telling us about the creation of the post of National Security Advisor?

Dr. Rice, you previously stated that there was a failure to pull information from the various bureaucracies. Seeing as the legislative mandate of the post of the National Security Advisor is to pull together information from the various bureaucracies, and present it to the president, isn't this a failure on your part?
