The following statements from DUERS baffles me. :think:
They are angrier at Howard Stern's content as opposed to the slow death of the first Amendment. GRRRR

I despise Stern's sexist garbage and his belittlement of women
He can't be fined enough in my book.

I'm curious to know how he is being censored or his right to free speech is being violated? He was fired because he wqasn't smart enough to clean up his show.

I'm not a fan of his stuff, but I support his right to say it. Clear Channel was looking out for their $$$ interests and if Stern makes things stuff for our corporate handout Resident's re-seclection bid, than it's not in their finaincial interest. It has nothing to do with his offensiveness to women, it has to do with a conservative company's bottom line.

The decision to fine and subsequently release Stern is clearly a power-play move by Clear Channel.

Why do you think Michael The Savage Wiener is still employed there? In the right-wing universe, a discussion about sex is apparently less offensive than telling someone to "get AIDS and die."

Mind-boggling.....I'm hoping Stern's hardcore listeners listen to his gospel and vote out Bush in Nov....It might not sound like much but with the political landscape as fragmented as it is, a large, devoted fanbase like Stern has could help turn the election to our side.
