Now actually watching Condi testimony on CSPAN: getting sick
Edited on Thu Apr-08-04 07:39 PM by linazelle
I've been stuck in meetings all day and just got news of the testimony listening to Randi Rhodes on the way home.

As I watch now, I see what Randi was talking about when she said you have to watch it for yourself and make up your own mind.

Rice just gave a 25-minute opening statement so that takes care of 1/4 of the ordeal under oath. Now Thomas Kean starts with a leading question about her coming on board after a "tough election" and then being confronted by Clarke about Al Qaeda.

They're smiling at each other. How sweeeet.

Kean's speaking really slowly. Helping eat up her time too. Verrrry nice. I wonder how the families feel about them being so giddy?

(Excuse me while I fucking puke.)

The worst I've seen is the ...
smug statement about "I believe it was called Osama Bin Laden plans attacks inside the United States."

2. just wait, hon....she actually does get nailed pretty well on several
points and comes close to losing her composure a couple of times; also tries to repeat WH talking points about 'map of Afghanistan' laid out on the table at Camp David but kind of bobbled it, must have over-rehearsed, hee hee....

6. Yep. Question: Who the hell voted Hamilton in as a democrat?
He should be run out of office for letting her get away with that tripe about educating Iraqi kids in a 9/11 session with a two hour limit.

7. OMG: Kean laughs, Condi smiles after she eats up Ben Veniste's time
Ending statement about president's knowledge of intelligence: "I will have to get back to you on that."

That was preceded by this lie:

"There was no threat reporting of any substance about attacks in the US"
